Texas ranks last in the nation for health coverage.
When hard-working Texans lack access to care, the costs don’t disappear—they shift to our emergency rooms, our employers, and our taxpayers.
We are dedicated to keeping Texans healthy, our businesses thriving, and ensuring our state remains the best place to live and work.
In the Lone Star State, we take pride in being first. But today, more Texans live without health coverage than in any other state. This isn’t just a health statistic — it affects our families’ financial security, the strength of our workforce, and the stability of our local clinics and hospitals.
The Texas Partnership for Health Access brings together leaders in business, healthcare, philanthropy, and faith to advance fair, practical healthcare coverage solutions that will boost the health and financial security of Texans. Its work is rooted in a simple belief: Texans thrive when everyone has a fair shot at staying healthy.
A Growing Coalition for a Stronger Texas
The Texas Partnership for Health Access is an evolving collaboration of state and national leaders dedicated to practical health solutions. Currently anchored by the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, we are joined by a diverse array of Texas-based organizations, business leaders, and community advocates.
We are building a unified voice to move Texas off the bottom of the rankings for health coverage. Our approach is collaborative, non-partisan, and focuses on what works for the unique needs of our state.
Join the Conversation. We are currently inviting organizations to help inform our strategy and share their expertise as we develop a formal structure for the Partnership. Whether your organization is ready to lead or prefers to provide background expertise, we welcome your perspective.
